News: Transitional period for revised EU Ecolabel criteria for Detergents extended
Commission Decision (EU) 2017/1214 set revised criteria for various types of detergents. In order to give current licence holders more time to adapt their products to comply the transitional period has been extended from 12 to 18 months

Commission Decision (2017/1214 EU) set out revised EU Ecolabel criteria for hand dishwashing detergents, dishwasher detergents, laundry detergents, industrial & institutional laundry detergents and industrial and institutional dishwasher detergents.
Current licence holders who were awarded the EU Ecolabel under the previous criteria (Commission Decision 2011/382/EU) were given a transitional period in which to reapply against the new criteria. This transitional period expired on 22nd June 2018.
This latest decision extends the transitional period to 18 months which will expire on 26 Decem er 2018.
Revised EU Ecolabel criteria for Lubricants published
The revised criteria for Lubricants were adopted on 8th November 2018 as Commission Decision (EU) 2018/1702 and published in the EU's Official Journal on 13th November 2018.
Criteria for Printed Paper, Bed Mattresses, Absorbent Hygiene Products and Rinse-off Cosmetics extended
Commission Decision(EU) 2018/1590 has prolonged the validity period of EU Ecolabel criteria for printed paper, bed mattresses, absorbent hygiene products and rinse-off cosmetic products.
